I bought Coolorus colour picker yesterday to use with Photoshop CS6 but the extension manager keeps saying 'this extension cannot be installed, it requires photoshop version in range of inclusively 11 and 14.' Is the colour picker not compatible with newer versions or can it be installed differently?
I'm running a Dell Inspiron 15r special edition with an i7 and 16gb ram. The version of photoshop is apparently 13 and the manager is 7.0.0.374
Any help would be great
Thanks

I ran a prompted update on iTunes for 10.2.2 for Windows Vista, and it completely wrecked itself. iTunes would no longer open, and it said that the shortcuts no longer existed.
I have tried uninstalling iTunes and all traces of it, and re-installing it, but keep getting an error msg that says 'Problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required could not be run.' I even tried a previous version of iTunes (10.1) and got the same error.
Can anyone help with this?I had the same problem with updating my itunes. I spent hours trying to figure out how to fix it
After updating my windows 7 and fixing all the 'corrupt' files, what seems to finally work for me was this
Go to add or remove programs in the control panel, on Windows 7, just go to start, control panel, and then uninstall a program. Find Apple Software Update on the list, and click on repair. Once that is done, try to download iTunes again and it should work.My computer, a Dell running with Windows Vista, has not been able to have iTunes & Quicktime installed on it in months. I've attempted to install it a countless number of times & tried a variety of things with my computer to install it but it just doesn't work - I get the same error message everytime. I can't even remember what happened to make it start acting so ridiculous.
It always starts out looking good and everything seems to be working pretty well, the green bar filling up pretty quickly, but then the 'Status' gets to about 'Publishing product information' and the error message pops up and I can't install it. It goes along the lines of 'A error occurred during the installation of assembly: ...' then it goes on to say 'Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x8007054F'. Here's a screenshot of the error message with the long whatever on it:
http://i46.tinypic.com/qoesm1.png
I believe I get the same message even when I attempt to download the two software separately (iTunes & Quicktime).
Can any one tell me what needs to be done? I have no idea what to try anymore. All help will be much appreciated. Thank you .
P.S.: If it helps, I can't really reinstall Internet Explorer (removed it when I downloaded Firefox). Thanks!
(3) And I do not believe I have Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 installed on this computer, as I just tried to install it and I received this error message: http://i45.tinypic.com/a3m7bc.png
Okay ... that rules out one possible treatment. Sometimes people with the redistributable installed can get past this by applying a security update for it ... but it looks like the same sorts of problems are preventing it from installing.
(2) And last time I checked my History I had several failures I believe, however now I only see one failed update, that being Update for Windows (KB944036). The error code listed 8000FFFF. Apparently it's an update for Internet Explorer 8.
The other primary strategy we (I?) have for dealing with these is to attempt to treat any underlying issues on the PC that prevent Windows Updates from installing. Although I have a sneaking suspicion that your 8000FFFF is related to your IE being uninstalled, I think we'd probably better try following up on the following document:
[Error when you download updates using Windows Update or Microsoft Update: 8000FFFF|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946414]
After applying those measures, do your Windows update and/or iTunes installation failures clear up?I got this error message when trying to update from 10.8.4 to 10.8.5. App update said I don't have any updates to make but I'm not running 10.8.5 and it is listed as a purchased program in the app store.
'OSX updated combined can't be installed on this disk. An error occured while evaluating JavaScript for the package.'Nope. Same error message when trying to install just the 10.8.5 update rather than the combo or the supplemental. Any other ideas?
I can't even find this error message when I search Apple Support pages.
I'm headed for the app store to re-download Mountain Lion which should give me 10.8.5. It is 4.4 GB so it must be the whole thing.Every time I attempt to upgrade I get this error message after the download finishes:
'Errors occurred when installing the updates. If there problem persists update manually'
So is there a way to fix this or how do I upgrade manually?some folks have been having some success with pgfpdwife's technique in the following post:
pgfpdwife: Re: Could not open key HKEYLOCALMACHINESoftwareClassicQuicktime.Quicktime
note carefully that the technique involves a registry edit. be sure to make a backup of any keys you edit. if you're unfamiliar with your registry or registry editing, head to your XP help and support, do a search on registry, and read through the articles that come up.
if you would prefer not to try a registry edit, let's instead try getting an installer log to the Apple Engineers for a look:
1. Open a command prompt window. (Start menu -> Run. Type in 'cmd'. Hit return.)
2. Drag and drop iTunesSetup.exe onto the window so that the full pathname of the file is at the command line prompt.
3. Type in a space, then the following line:
/l*v C:log.txt
4. Hit return.
5. The installer will create a log file:
C:log.txt
Find that file and send it as an attachment to this email address in the email to Roy, be sure to include the following information:
- A link to the thread on Apple Discussions where the issue is being discussed
- The username you are using in the thread
- The version of iTunes you are using or trying to use
- A concise description of the issue you are seeing
- The exact text of the error message you are seeing (if you are seeing one)Trying to set up and connect to wireless printer (HP Color Laserjet 3600N) in small office. During install got an error message saying I needed Internet Explorer 5 or later. I have IE9 so I'm not sure what the issue is.

I just double click on the Icon, and it seems it takes forever to load.
After this action, an error message comes up with a statement that it is trying to read some sort of script. Next it tells me to press continue to go ahead. At this time, it loads up normally. Can you help? This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

The bit I don;t undersdtand is how can a aletr version than the current one exist unless there are version numbering or date issues.
Anyway I have had to regress to version 7.1.1.5

Well, it seems waiting is not my strong suit..! I renamed a javascript file called recovery to sessionstore. This file was in the folder sessionstore-backups I had copied from mozilla 3 days ago, when my tabs were still in place. I replaced the sessionstore in mozilla's default folder with the renamed file and then started mozilla. And the tabs reappeared as they were 3 days ago!
So there goes the tab problem. But again when I started mozilla the window saying 'a script has stopped responding' appeared, this time the script being: chrome//browser/contenttabbrowser.xml2542
If someone knows how to fix this and make firefox launch normally, please reply! Thank youI am trying to export a project in iMovie and I keep getting a error message about code revision. i need help!!!
Hi there!
Are you certain that the serial number is for InDesign? And the correct version?
Please feel free to PM me if you wish to verify the serial number.

Amygreat Problemes after installing Yosemite (10.10.2 ) with Photoshop CS6....The program crashes --last time 10 times during my work session..wacomtable doesnt work..it is slow...and get error messages about the graphic card....It s a Terror to work with my beloved Photoshop!
The Yosemite upgrade very often damages existing Photoshop installations. Thank Apple for that.
You need to uninstall and re-install Photoshop, then apply all the Photoshop upgrades from scratch.
But first, give us details about your setup:
BOILERPLATE TEXT:
Note that this is boilerplate text.
If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
such as your platform (Mac or Win),
exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just 'CS6', but something like CS6v.13.0.6) and of Bridge,
your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
the type of file you were working on,
machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
what error message(s) you receive,
if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
A screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too,
etc.,
someone may be able to help you (not necessarily this poster, who is not a Windows user).

Thanks!Installed Yosemite on my Mac. CS5 no longer workers. When I try to open Photoshop, I get an error message about needing a Java SE 6. This is different from the other Java update Yosemite required (I already installed that). I assumed the higher update would suffice for previous versions, but I guess it doesn't work that way. Went over to the Java site, but SE 6 doesn't seem to have a MAC version. How can I resolve this?

MyleniumI shutdown Zone Alarm, and deleted the contents of the file, which contained the 'exe' file, then reinstalled Firefox version 5.0. I still get the XUL Runner error message about incompatibility of Version 5.0 with min and max 5.0.1. What next?
The updater wasn't able to update all the files and some were left as older versions.<br />
You need to do a clean reinstall.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version.
* Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Thanks b noir,
I tried this solution without success. After FixIt ran and didn't find a problem, either in looking for issues with 'software upgrade' or 'iTunes' it kindly offered to help me uninstall iTunes. I had thought of this as a possibilty but it seems to me that if you do that you lose a lot of 'non-native-to-Apple' information you might have entered. I did this once and recovery was painfull. Is there a way to uninstall iTunes without losing all of that sort of thing? Any help would be appreciated.
